Welcome to Advanced Acting! This week you’ll get to know your mentor and go through the roadmap for these live Sessions. We will also start our first assignment together!
This week, we’ll be analyzing subtext and how it can help bring the believability of our animations to the next level.
This session will be about rhythm and flow. We will analyze how certain acting beats can really help sell our animation through timing and spacing.
Personality heavily affects the actions of your character. We’ll be learning all about that this week while finishing up our first assignment.
This week we’ll be learning how the eyes and eyebrows can tell a story even without dialogue! We’ll also begin our second assignment.
Let’s dive into dialogue! We’ll focus on analyzing how a character would act based on the dialogue of our choice and dive into lip sync.
Let’s get into facial performance, the class will be tackling how to convey believable emotions in your animations.
Week 8 is a continuation of last week’s facial performance class. This week, we will also be finishing up our assignment.
The more characters in a shot, the harder it gets. This week, we’ll learn how to manage the complexities of animating multiple characters in one shot. We will also begin our third and final assignment.
To help close things off these final weeks, Donald will share some tips and tricks to help you tackle complex shots!
Congrats on reaching your last week! This final week is designed to give you the chance to ask your mentor any industry related questions you might have, as well as get a final feedback session.

Some of the films I’ve worked on include Elemental, Lightyear, Win or Lose, Inside Out 2, Elio, and Into the Spider-Verse. Over the years, I’ve learned from some incredible artists, and now I’m excited to share what I’ve learned with you.
